1. How Optic Works

Optic is local-first. Your scans and documents stay on your device. Processing uses your device hardware; we do not copy your documents to our servers.

2. What We Collect

We do not collect names, emails, or document content. We may collect anonymous app performance data (like crashes and feature usage) to keep Optic reliable.

3. How We Use Data

Anonymous metrics help us debug, improve speed, and plan new features. They are aggregated and do not include your documents.

4. What We Don't Do

We do not sell data, show ads based on your documents, or track you across apps or websites.

5. Storage and Sync

If you choose cloud sync (iCloud, Google Drive, or others), your provider stores and protects that data under their policies. Optic does not see your files in those clouds.

6. Security

Your documents stay local unless you export or sync them. Keep your device secure with a passcode and system updates.

7. Your Choices

You can turn off analytics in settings (where available), delete scans at any time, and remove the app to delete local data.

8. Children

Optic is not designed for children under 13. If we learn we collected data from a child, we delete it.
